WEARING GEMSTONES

If you are wearing the Gemstone for some Astrological purpose, then you must follow some procedure before wearing it. No matter how fine quality Gem you wear, sometimes the desired results are not achieved. The answer is quite simple, proper procedure is not followed. To get maximum Astrological benefit from gemstones, a proper procedure is followed which in Sanskrit is called 'ABHIMANTRIT’, therefore to reap full results one should always keep in mind the following points which varies for different Gems:

The gemstone should be real, always purchase it from a reliable source, better go for a branded one, that will be sealed, certified and with price.
It should be studded in the right source, i.e., Ring or Locket.
It should be studded in the right metal. eg: Gold, White Gold, Platinum, Silver, Copper, Panchdhatu or prescribed by astrologer or gemologist.
It should be of appropriate weight and color.
It should be worn in the correct finger, each finger represents a particular planet.
It should be worn on the particular day, time and Hora of the planet and that too in the light half of the lunar month, or particular time prescribed by astrologer or gemologist.
The proper time of the particular planet called "Hora" is to be followed during ritualism.
The gemstone should be purified by adopting proper purifying procedure, so that the negative energy is removed completely and the gem is charged fully with positive energy.
Chanting of Mantra of concerned planet should be recited atleast108 times.
Suitable endowment should be given to calm down the ill effects of the planets.

NOTE: There is only if and only if one way to give power to your planet and that is by wearing gemstones. On the contrary there is only one way to minimize the ill-effects of a planet and that is endowment of articles of the particular planet. Hence a combination of four, wearing a real gemstone, endowment, chanting mantra and yantra of related planet will surely help you out.

It should be washed with fresh milk and sacred water Ganga Jal in the morning during Hora ( a type of Muhurt time ) of concerned planet on its particular day, and then while chanting the mantra of represents planet and should be worn and endowment articles of concerned planet.
